Who is OHverhead Media?
Hey! I’m Orion, a recent Montana State University graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering but a love for film making.
OHverhead Media began over 8 years ago with the maiden flight of my first quadcopter. Through years of gear acquisition, repairs, upgrades and the sole goal to make every film better than the previous, I have begun my career in the professional space.
Skilled Areas
FPV/Drone Piloting
I’ve been a drone pilot since the beginning of my video career and love my Mavic 3 Pro for those beautiful sweeping shots. In the Spring of 2021 I began my journey into FPV and now have a fleet of more than 8 self built and maintained quadcopters capable of everything from interior fly throughs of homes and buildings to chasing airplanes through the skies at speeds over 100mph!
Ground Filming
Using Sony cinema grade cameras I love capturing the experience on the ground almost as much as I do from the air. I have experience in action sports, Observational, Expository and Participatory mini documentaries, social promotions, and interviews.
Editing & Post
I believe whole heartedly in my skills developed to capture the content but I’ve found my best abilities are in story telling and editing. I have minor experience in sound design & DaVinci Resolve for professional color grading.
Sound Design
My work as an FPV pilot built my sound design skills. Since the only thing picked up by on board cameras is the noise of the motors a sound stage for each and every flight must be created to build an immersive video. This has transitioned into a marketable skill that i’ve use in multiple large projects now.
